Field Hockey (12-7-1)

For the 6th straight campaign and the 12th time in the past 14 years, the Bombers advanced to the NCAA Division III tournament. Ithaca traveled to Trenton, New Jersey, to take on an undefeated Williams squad, but a 2-0 loss in the first round of the play-offs ended the blue and gold's season.

Coach Doris Kostrinsky, who completed her 27th year walking the South Hill sidelines, led Ithaca to a 3rd-place showing at the NYSWCAA championship. The low-stickers knocked off Hamilton 1-0 in the first round before suffering a 2-1 setback to Cortland in the semifinals. Ithaca came back to claim a 2-0 decision over Hartwick in the tourney's consolation game.

A key run during the campaign came when the squad's record stood at 5-5-1: the Bombers won their last 5 regular-season games and advanced to the play-offs.

Junior forward/midfielder Marie Kelly was named the team's most valuable offensive player after posting 5 goals and 1 assist this fall. Sophomore forward Julie Parsons paced the attack with 9 scores and 2 helpers for 20 points. Senior Megan Moran, who tallied a goal in 1995, was voted the unit's most valuable defensive player, and senior goalie Lynn Anne Bolton repeated last year's third-team all-American laurels from the College Field Hockey Coaches Association. Bolton posted a 0.93 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage this fall.

Moran and junior Jaime Lees earned all-academic honors from the CFHCA for the 2nd consecutive season.
