Alumni Club Spotlight

Alumni E-Mail Update Thank you to all Ithaca College graduates who have joined the on-line IC alumni e-mail directory. As of March 15 we have more than 1,200 participants. If you haven't yet joined and are interested in joining, check out our Web site for instructions. Winter Club Highlights The Southern Tier Alumni Club and Friends of Ithaca College annual dinner and theater event sold out for the fourth consecutive year. This year's production of Into the Woods followed a spectacular reception in the upper lobby of Dillingham Center. The room was transformed into a fairy tale itself with lit trees and an abundance of autumn flowers. The students of IC once again showed our local alumni and friends their exceptional talent and enthusiasm for classic musicals. Network '98 was a huge success! The Philadelphia, National Capital, Metro New York, Boston, Rochester, Buffalo, and Southern Tier Alumni Clubs hosted current students and regional alumni at networking receptions during the months of January and February. This continues to be one of the most popular and successful programs of the year! On January 31, 1998, members of the Chicago Alumni Club attended the one-night only performance of "Stars on Ice," featuring Olympic gold medalists Kristi Yamaguchi, Scott Hamilton, Katarina Witt, and Ekaterina Gordeeva, Olympic silver medalist Paul Wylie, four-time world champion Kurt Browning, and many other ice skating stars. Alumni enjoyed munchies at Bennigan's before heading to the Rosemont Horizon for the show. Peggy Hits the Road In February both the National Capital Alumni Club and the Southern California Alumni Club hosted receptions welcoming President Peggy R. Williams. Alumni, parents, current students, and friends of Ithaca College flocked to the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., and Planet Hollywood in Los Angeles to meet the president.
