Big Apple Goods and Services Auction
"I
think we sold every item except for a T-shirt and some luggage tags,"
says Mike Kaplan ’85, who, along with Joy DeVries ’85 and Norris Scott
’93, was on the steering committee for the first-ever Big Apple Goods
and Services Auction.
One happy purchaser was Yvonne Sing ’99, who outbid everyone to take
home the Fender electric guitar signed by John Mellencamp — just one of
dozens of items and services donated by alumni and friends of IC. The
October event, held at ABC Studios, attracted 68 bidders and raised more
than $9,000 for three scholarship funds.
