Board Chooses New Student Trustee, Reelects Other Members

At its May meeting the Ithaca College Board of Trustees reelected William Haines, Stephen McCluski ’74, Herman E. Muller Jr. ’51, Carolyn Serling, Diane Frankle Storck ’70, and Arlene Makransky Wolff ’57 to three-year terms. Muller and David W. Sass ’57 were reelected as board chair and vice chair, respectively. Mary Ann Sledjeski Costello ’69 left the board after nine years of service. And Kristina Pervi ’02 was chosen to serve a two-year term as student trustee.

Pervi, who succeeds Kyle Johnson ’00, is majoring in applied economics and minoring in finance and legal studies. Since last fall she has been a resident assistant for the honors housing program in Rowland Hall, a position that includes administration, programming, and community building with residents. She is also chair of the Honors Housing Committee and a member of the Honors Advisory and the Resident Assistant Recruitment Committees.

Pervi serves on the Academics Committee of the Student Government Association and is a student justice with the Office of Judicial Affairs. She has worked on the ICTV program Fake Out, and this past spring she volunteered at South Hill Elementary School. She was nominated for the Ithaca College chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary, which recognizes the top 1 percent of residence hall student leaders on college campuses nationwide.
