New Sales and Marketing Scholarship Honors Jay Linden ’73

Last April Judi Samilow Linden ’74 started thinking about what extra special thing to do for her husband, Jay Linden ’73, who would be turning 50 in June. She approached Thomas Bohn, dean of the Park School, and the IC development office for help in planning his birthday party.

She suggested establishing a scholarship in her husband’s name to recognize his career in sales and marketing as well as his half-century mark — and to support one of Ithaca College’s most important priorities. Instead of giving Linden gifts, guests would be asked to contribute to the Jay L. Linden Scholarship for sales and marketing students.

As to the festivities . . . Jay Linden’s classmates report that he was totally surprised by the party and thrilled with the scholarship established in his honor. Thanks to the generosity of the Lindens and their friends, the first Jay Linden scholar in sales and marketing will be announced next year.
