Serling on Display
Rod
Serling memorabilia from the Ithaca College Rod Serling Archives are now
on display on the first floor of the library. The exhibit features three
cases of scripts, awards, and artifacts from Serling’s memorable career.
Best known as the creator and narrator of the television series The
Twilight Zone, Serling won six Emmy Awards; he was a visiting professor
at Ithaca College from 1967 until his death in 1975. His wife, Carolyn
Serling (third from left), established the archive and served as a trustee
of the College for 18 years until this May. Here she is shown with Park
School dean Thomas Bohn, President Peggy R. Williams, and assistant professor
of television-radio Gordon Webb at a May ceremony dedicating the library
display.
