Food and Recreation, Downtown and on the Hill

A bicycle ride to Brooktondale and back, the 10th annual Butterfield Golf Tournament, and a 5K fun run/walk were scheduled athletic activities. The international dinner showcasing cuisine from around the world, the Finger Lakes wine expo, a Cayuga Lake brunch cruise, and the (somewhat wet this year) traditional Saturday afternoon picnic on the quad brought out not only alumni, but a large number of faculty and staff to reconnect and reminisce. For an extra treat, there was a tour of the College's "forbidden places" --- spots on campus where students are never allowed to venture.
The annual driving/walking tour of downtown Ithaca, led by music professor Mary Arlin '61, brought downtown campus alumni back to their collegiate roots, and because Alumni Weekend was, as always, held the same weekend as Ithaca Festival, alumni and guests had the chance to experience some of Ithaca's best entertainment and food on the Commons and at Stewart Park.
