IC's First Doctoral Program

In February the Ithaca College Board of Trustees approved the College's first doctoral degree program.

The program, which must now get final approval from the New York State Education Department, will award a doctor of physical therapy (D.P.T.) degree in the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance. Beginning no later than fall 2006, all entering PT students will be required to enroll in the six-year clinical doctoral program; the existing five-year master's-level degree will be phased out.
