The group outside the Fringe office
In August, 12 IC theater students, an art history major, and a speech communication major, escorted by theater faculty members Jack Hrkach and Norm Johnson, visited perhaps the most famous theater festival in the world -- the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Most of the students were en route to a semester at the Ithaca College London Center and opted to spend a few days before it at the festival. This was the fifth year the theater department sponsored the trip.
Four IC alumni (Joe Tapper '02, Charles "Eddie" Cooper '04, Amanda Morton '04, and Jessica Martenson '01) and one current senior, Jade Rothman, were actually performing at the Fringe this year, and the student group was able to catch their performances.

The visit to Edinburgh also included an open-top bus tour of the city, a tour of the castle, and a show at the main festival (Jean Racine's Andromache, performed by Berlin's Schaubuhne am Lehniner Platz).
