Linda L. Buettner, an expert in memory loss and Alzheimer’s disease, was the Gerontology Institute’s visiting scholar this semester. The FloridaGulf Coast University professor and director of the Southwest Florida Center for Positive Aging presented a public talk and taught several classes.

This semester the Gerontology Institute announced that it is renaming its popular major to “aging studies.”
