The award-winning show choir from the Washington, D.C.–based Duke Ellington School of the Arts performed in Ford Hall in February as part of the College’s celebration of Black History Month. The group performed a selection of songs from its repertoire of jazz and classical numbers.
Led by founding conductor Samuel L. E. Bonds, the ensemble has given concerts in the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean and shared the stage with such varied musicians as Stevie Wonder, Dave Brubeck, Boyz II Men, Kenny Loggins, and Nancy Wilson.
