Our Town: Beautiful and Brainy
It turns out Ithaca is more than just “gorges” — it’s pretty smart, too. Forbes.com named Ithaca the third most intelligent city in the nation in a study posted to the site in February. The study ranked cities based on the percentage of residents with at least a four-year college degree. Only Boulder, Colorado, and Bethesda, Maryland, outranked Ithaca, where nearly 50 percent of residents age 25 or older hold a four-year degree or further degrees.
