Leonard B. Job
President, Ithaca College, 1932-1957.

Leonard B. Job came to Ithaca College as dean of the College in the fall of 1931. The presidential transition from George Williams to Leonard Job came at a time of change and turmoil for the College. Ithaca College had been chartered in 1931 and the consolidation of the affiliated schools was still in process. The Great Depression was affecting enrollment at the College and the College's debt was increasing rapidly.

George C. Williams resigned in February 1932 and Leonard B. Job was appointed acting president at that time. He officially became president in June 1932.

Although this transition was announced in both the Ithacan and the Ithaca Journal, there do not appear to have been any special ceremonies or events to mark the occasion.
