Career

Deciding what to do with your life can be a job in itself. With this in mind, the Office of Career Services offers individual career counseling, assessment tools, and a resource library. Professional staff and a team of trained peer advisers will help you decide what careers to investigate by recommending resources, giving feedback on resumes and cover letters, guiding you through job and internship or graduate school options, and teaching you skills for successful networking and interviewing. Once you narrow your focus, you can participate in campus recruitment events or search eRecruiting, a system that puts you in touch with recruiters and gives you access to a data bank of over 5,000 job and internship opportunities nationwide.

Computing

Many of our 30+ computer labs are open late; in fact, the ones in Friends 110, West Tower, East Tower, and Terrace 3 are open round the clock when school is in session. Trained consultants can suggest ways to format your document, clear that pesky printer jam, or answer any computer-related questions you might have.

And you can use your computer virtually anywhere on campus. All of our residence halls and academic buildings are wired for Internet access, and there are several conveniently located "hot spots" that allow secure, wireless connection in locations such as the Campus Center and the library.

Personal Finance

Don't bother keeping your money under your mattress -- it's easy to bank at one of the three companies with ATMs in the Campus Center or at the CFCU Community Credit Union branch located in the Towers.

Financial Aid

When it comes time to think about your academic finances, the staff at the Office of Student Financial Services is ready to help students find campus employment, come up with a monthly budget, and get through the paperwork involved in federal, state, and private aid. It's the place to go if you want to know the difference between Stafford and Pell or learn how to track your monthly expenses.
