Executive producer and Park School alumnus Fred Berner '74 will be present to screen his independent film Speak on Saturday, October 25, at 2:00 p.m. in Park Hall Auditorium.
The film is adapted from the award-winning book by Laurie Halse Anderson and will be shown at the College before the film is theatrically released through Showtime.
A discussion will follow the screening and will feature Berner and television and film industry executives John Roman, producer of Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and Liz Manne, president of the independent production company, Duopoly.
Fred Berner has produced both Hollywood and independent films, with many varied and distinguished movies to his credit. His most recent theatrical production was the highly acclaimed Pollock (Sony Pictures Classics), the story of pioneer abstract expressionist painter Jackson Pollock, directed by Ed Harris.
