Wednesday, October 27, is the eighth annual competition for the Perialas Prize in Persuasive Oratory sponsored by the Department of Speech Communication.
This year the topic is "Who should be the next president of the USA?" Rather than select one winner, the committee is awarding prizes to the best Kerry, Bush, and alternative candidate speakers. The speeches, followed by a discussion, will be given from 7:00-8:00 pm in the Clark Lounge of Phillips Hall. As usual, dessert, coffee, and cider will be served.
