The Ithaca College Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Jeffrey Grogan, will present a free concert on Wednesday, March 2, at 8:15 in Ford Hall. Two works of Mozart, the overture to The Magic Flute, and the Symphony No. 35, will be joined by a work from 2002 composed by School of Music faculty member Dana Wilson.

Frank Gabriel Campos will be trumpet soloist for the Wilson Trumpet Concerto.

Frank Campos is currently principal trumpet of the Binghamton Philharmonic, a member of the Ithaca Brass, and performs with the Syracuse Symphony. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Trumpet Guild and writes a column for their journal. Groups with which Mr. Campos has appeared include the Dallas Chamber Orchestra, Fort Worth Symphony, the Dallas Cowboys Band, the Montreau Jazz Festival, the Sacramento Jazz Festival, the Dallas Brass, and the Sonare Early Music Consort.

The works of Dana Wilson have been commissioned and performed by such diverse ensembles as the Chicago Chamber Musicians, Detroit Chamber Winds and Strings, Buffalo Philharmonic, Memphis Symphony, Washington military bands, Netherlands Wind Ensemble, Syracuse Symphony, and Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra.
