The information technology long range strategic plan developed by the Information Technology Planning and Advisory Committee (ITPAC) is now available for review on the ITPAC website, www.ithaca.edu/itpac.
In the second quarter of 2004, President Peggy Williams requested that a strategic plan for information technology be prepared for Ithaca College. To prepare the plan and to provide an ongoing advisory service to the director of information technology services, the president approved the creation of the Information Technology Planning and Advisory Committee (ITPAC). Peter Bardaglio, vice president for academic affairs, and Carl Sgrecci, vice president for finance and administration, serve as executive liaisons to the committee representing the president in the planning efforts. Gary Wells, associate professor of art history, was chosen to chair the committee.
With the assistance of a consultant from Kaludis Consulting, ITPAC worked throughout AY05 to develop an IT plan for the College. In April 2005, the ITPAC presented the preliminary information technology long range strategic plan to the president for her approval.
President Williams has reviewed and endorsed the plan, and it is now available, along with other information regarding ITPAC, on the committee website, www.ithaca.edu/itpac. The plan will be used to inform the budget process about technology initiatives that should be considered for funding as well as to help guide information technology services in applying financial and human resources to technology projects. The plan will be reviewed annually to monitor progress on technology initiatives, adjust technology priorities, and consider new initiatives that should become a part of the plan.
