As we head into the stretch towards the Bursar's Benefit Auction, we thought you would like to know about a unique donation we have this year. Is "Ghost Whisperer" one of your favorite shows? Do you rent "Ghostbusters" every other weekend to enjoy with your microwave meal? Well, it's time you moved on to the real thing! The Bursar's Benefit Auction can offer you a sumptuous roast beef or seafood buffet for two at the famed Baron's Inn in Greene, NY (about 1/2 hour from Ithaca). Long regarded as one of the most haunted inns in the area, you will enjoy a hearty meal before heading off for your own private ghost hunt with certified ghost hunter, Bill Lenga. As a special bonus, you will receive an autographed copy of his written narrative of the Inn and its history. Ghosts a bit too scary for you? Read on for more tame items received this week...

Spring break is over and it's time to buckle down and work towards your dream of achieving Dean's List. Afraid that too much studying will wear you out? Be sure to bid on our Study Break Basket! Guaranteed to perk you up, this basket features 21 different goodies and toys to keep you alert! Not a student? No problem! Rumor has it that faculty and staff can reap the same benefits from the contents!

Feeling patriotic? Want to show your pride of our country? Wait till you see our beautiful Red, White, and Blue Basket! This basket will impress your friends on all patriotic events as they stare in amazement at your well coordinated items. God bless the USA!

If you've always loved quilting but aren't quite at the level where you can actually make something that others will admire, we have three easy ways out for you! You can bid on the classy quilted wall organizer that will hang from your wall and neatly hold your items of choice. If you want a bolder statement, you can purr-chase our beautiful, handmade kitty quilt and display it proudly. Lastly, if you want to finally get serious about it, you will have the opportunity to learn how to make your own quilted wall hanging! We are offering four lessons with a well respected quilter in the College community. One way or another, your quilting desires will be fulfilled!

More items are coming in daily, so keep tuned to Intercom for the latest updates. Have you mapped out your bidding strategy yet? Have you tried to encourage your friends to bid on everything but the items you want? Have you purposely omitted the items you are determined to win from the items you have told them about? Have you been practicing your arm exercises by raising a bidding number up and down? The Bursar's Benefit Auction will be held on Wednesday, March 29, in the Clark Lounge of the Campus Center. The silent auction will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon, followed by the live auction from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. It won't be long now...see you there!
