Professor Gonzalez was selected for this award because for her leadership and scholarship on matters related to race relations, social inequiality, cross-racial organizing and more. Further, Professor Gonzalez is known to be a committed servant leader. Belisa is the advisor for Sister2Sister. She has made herself available to students on many occasions as an advisor, mentor, and friend. Belisa is an Assistant Professor of Sociology in the School of Humanities and Sciences. Belisa, we appreciate you and we look forward to saluting you and others this coming Saturday evening! |
