Ellie Phillips-Burdge earned a Bachelor of Music (1998) and a Masters of Physical Therapy degree (2010), both from Ithaca College. She is currently living in Ithaca with her husband and has opened a new private practice, Rhythm Physical Therapy, that collaborates music with physical therapy.
On October 10th, from 4-5pm in Hockett Family Recital Hall, Ellie will attend a trombone repertoire class led by Dr. Hal Reynolds. The rep class will feature current music students on trombone playing solo repertoire while she offers helpful tips and words of wisdom on how to be a healthier musician from a physical therapy perspective. She will also address performance anxiety problems and other physical ailments that can be related to playing an instrument or the voice. The class is open to anyone that would like to attend.
Ellie's husband, Adam Phillips-Burdge, is also an Ithaca College (trombone) graduate and he currently teaches at Dryden Elementary.
