Internet Explorer 9 and Webmail

In order for Ithaca College Webmail to function properly with Internet Explorer 9 (IE9), ITS recommends the following settings:

IE9 Compatibility View

  • While on the myHome login page, click the Compatibility View icon on the IE9 address bar (see image at right)
  • Log into myHome

Webmail Message Pane

  • Click the Webmail tab
  • Click the Options button at the top right of the page
  • Click Settings in the left menu
  • Make sure that Message Pane is set to "Show". If it is already set to "Show" just close the settings window, otherwise:
  • Click Apply at the top left
  • Click Close at the top right
  • You may need to reload the page for the change to take effect

TIP: For any Web page that doesn't display correctly in IE9, try clicking the Compatibility View button. IE9 will remember the Compatibility View setting for any site on which you enable it. To turn off Compatibility View, just click the button again.
