Since the licensing and trademark enforcement program was implemented last fall, Ithaca College and its partner, Strategic Marketing Affiliates, have successfully approved and partnered with more than 90 vendors as official licensees. There are two lists of licensed vendors. One list is sorted alphabetically by vendor name and the other by the type of product sold. The products offered by these vendors range from apparel to gifts and novelties. With over 90 vendors available—and more being added each month—there should be at least one vendor to meet your merchandising needs. If not, new vendors can fill out an application form to become an official licensee. Only official licensees may produce merchandise bearing Ithaca College’s name and protected terms.
The licensing and trademark enforcement program was put into place to protect our federal trademarks and ensure brand consistency and high quality of the products bearing Ithaca College’s name.
The licensing program protects Ithaca College and other terms associated with it, including IC, Bomber(s), Bomber Nation, Ithaca (followed by sports/club/organization name or 1892), and any combination of these. For more information about the licensing program, visit Ithaca College’s licensing program at a glance page.
If you have questions about the licensing and trademark enforcement program, a representative from the Office of Marketing Communications is available to speak to your department/group/organization/club, present the licensing program in an easy-to-understand format, and answer questions. To set up a time, please contact Laurie Ward at firstname.lastname@example.org.
