Does Your Department Have Students Who Need to Drive College Owned/Leased Vehicles? If So, Read On...
Contributed by Diane Rogers on 05/09/2012
If you have a student who will need to drive a College owned/leased vehicle for any reason, they must attend the 2 hour student driver safety class. If your students will need to drive during the summer or immediately upon returning in August we recommend they attend the class on Wednesday, May 16th, 2012 from 4pm-6pm in Textor 102.
Students may wish to review the student driver handbook before attending the class.
The registration for the class is now on-line www.ithaca.edu/riskmanagement/ed_prog/
In addition to taking the driver safety class and passing the test at the close of the class, students must submit a Driver Information Form and be at least 21 years of age. Please plan on a minimum of 14 business days for the College's insurance broker to review information on potential drivers. Please make sure your student submits their driver information form well before they need to drive.
Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact the Office of Risk Management via telephone at 607-274-3285 or via email at: firstname.lastname@example.org. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
