This is a friendly reminder to students living on campus that all Residence Halls, except for Terrace 03, Boothroyd Hall, the Circle Apartments, and the Garden Apartments, will be closed for Thanksgiving Break beginning at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Saturday, November 17, 2012.
Closed Residence Halls will not reopen until 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Sunday, November 25, 2012, and residents will not be authorized to return early for any reason.
For more information on Thanksgiving Break closing, please review the instructions you will receive via E-mail, or on our web site at http://www.ithaca.edu/reslife/docs/reslifeguide/closingnotices/
Residents of Boothroyd Hall, Terrace 03, the Garden Apartments, and the Circle Apartments may remain on campus in their room assignment during the break, but must submit a Break Occupancy Request form on our web site at http://www.ithaca.edu/reslife/guide/opening_closings_breaks/break_occupancy/. Please complete and submit this form no later than 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Late requests will not be processed until Monday, November 19th.
If you live in a Residence Hall that will be closed during the break and need to remain on campus for all or part of the recess, you will need a resident of Boothroyd Hall, Terrace 03, the Garden Apartments, or the Circle Apartments to host you in their space. Please contact your intended host directly in order for them to make arrangements for the break period. Your host will need to complete and submit the Break Occupancy form noted above in order to officially host you.
Please note that the room’s capacity cannot be exceeded, that the gender of the students staying in the room cannot be mixed, and that your host cannot submit a Break Occupancy Request for any vacant space in their room or apartment. Your host must surrender their room key to you, and Residential Life will authorize card access for hosted students in the Residence Hall for the break period.
If you have questions regarding Break Occupancy, please E-mail email@example.com.
Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact the Office of Residential Life at firstname.lastname@example.org or (607) 274-3141. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
