Since we moved email to Microsoft Live@edu in June, all IC community members have had access to the Calendar feature in Outlook. However, we asked Oracle Calendar users to not use that feature. That's all changing now that we are moving data from Oracle Calendar to Microsoft Live@edu Outlook over the December shut-down.
ITS has been working directly with Oracle Calendar users regarding the move to Outlook Calendar. Once this change is made, all IC community members will have access to a meeting scheduling system. The data migration starts this Friday December 21, 2012 at 5 pm and will most likely be completed by Monday December 24, 2012.
Calendar users can access Outlook calendar by either using Outlook Web App through myhome.ithaca.edu or by using the Outlook email client 2010 for Windows and 2011 for Macintosh. In Outlook, email and calendar are tightly integrated. Meeting invitees receive invitations in email; and, invitees should respond via email. If email is forwarded to a non-IC account, invitees will have to respond to meetings directly from calendar. Mobile device users should see the Mobile guide for best practices.
