February is American Heart Month. IC is launching a Go Red for Women campaign to bring awareness of heart health to the campus. Although our campaign is focused on preventing and fighting the number one killer of women, heart disease, all faculty, staff and administrators are invited to participate. 

We’re inviting you to help prevent heart disease and support others in the fight by participating in our fun Go Red for Women challenges and activities throughout the month. Those who participate will have their name entered in a raffle for a chance to win some great prizes! Mind, Body, Me wellness program participants will also be awarded extra incentive points for taking part in the excitement!

Here is a preview of activities being held at IC for America Heart Month:

• FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 1ST – We will be searching the campus for people wearing red and awarding them a Go Red for Women pin just for showing their  support and helping to raise awareness around campus!
   
• WEAR RED FRIDAYS – Wear red every Friday in February, take a picture of yourself or your friends wearing red (be creative with it!) and submit it! If you wear red every Friday in February in support of heart disease awareness, your name will be submitted into the prize drawing.
   
• HEART HEALTHY RECIPE CHALLENGE – We are looking for great heart healthy recipes to compile into a recipe book. The best recipe will win a prize, but all recipes that are eligible will be in our recipe book.
   
• DECORATE A DRESS CHALLENGE – Decorate a red dress cutout in support of heart month. A vote will take place for the best decorated. The designer of best dress will win a great prize!
