The Ithaca College chapter of the American Marketing Association (ICAMA) received numerous honors at the 35th Annual Intercollegiate Conference in New Orleans, March 21-23, 2013.
Once again demonstrating its standing as a top national chapter, ICAMA received awards for Outstanding Membership Activities (congratulations to Membership VP Sarah Wooster '14), Outstanding Communications (congratulations to Communications VP Rachel Gropper '14), and Outstanding Professional Development (congratulations to Professional Development VP Hilary Jones '14, Marketing Research VP Becca Blondin '14, and Advertising/Graphics VP Yiwei Zhu '14 ). Recognition in three categories signifies superior chapter performance, indicative of an organization ranking among the top 30 chapters amongst the 160 chapters submitting reports and over 300 active collegiate chapters.
ICAMA also received an Honorable Mention Award for Outstanding Marketing Week Activities. ICAMA won a couple of awards in the AMA Saves Lives competition promoting organ donation. In social media categories, the chapter won 2nd Place for number of videos and 3rd Place for number of video views in the Fall semester.
In addition, co-Presidents Shayna Dunitz ‘13 and Taylor O'Hare '13 were chosen to present at a session on "Making Marketing Week a Success", attended by over 50 delegates.
Congratulations to the 2013/2014 executive team and all members who contributed to this year’s outstanding performance. Thanks to those campus organizations providing funding to help with the trip, the School of Business, the Park School of Communications, the Student Government Association, and the Office of Student Engagement and Multicultural Affairs.
