On Wednesday, October 9, 7pm, Jeff Cohen, the director of the Ithaca College Park Center for Independent Media, will speak about his participation in an August fact-finding delegation to Israel and the West Bank at the Unitarian Church Annex, 208 E. Buffalo St.  He will also show the short film My Neighborhood, which was produced by Just Vision in 2012, and engage in a “far-reaching Q&A session.”

Jeff’s delegation, sponsored by the Interfaith Peace-Builders, met with a wide variety of Israelis and Palestinians, including those featured in My Neighborhood.  The event will also serve as a send-off for Ithacan Ariel Gold, who will be participating in the Interfaith Peace-Builders’ Olive Harvest delegation this month.

As a former pundit on CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC, founder of the media watch group FAIR, and co-founder of RootsAction.org, Jeff provides an important perspective concerning media coverage of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.   This event, which is free and open to the public, is co-sponsored by the Unitarian Social Justice Council, Jewish Voice for Peace, Tikkun v’Or Social Justice Workgroup, Dorothy Cotton Institute, and Catholic Workers of Ithaca.
