The Jewish Studies program at Ithaca College invites you to attend a performance by Israeli Stage of the play Oh, God In Anat Gov’s touching comedy about faith in secular society, a psychotherapist named Ella, single mother of an autistic child, gets a visit from a new, desperate patient, God.

The play, presented as a staged reading, will be performed on Sunday, January 26, at 3 pm in the Emerson Suites.

The play is free and open to the public. A suggested donation of $10 will be requested in support of “Lunch and Learn,” an after school tutoring program in Israel for children at risk. Donations may be made online at www.iaujc.org or at the door by check or cash.

Israeli Stage (www.IsraeliStage.com) is dedicated to exposing American audiences to the diversity and vitality of Israeli culture through producing the work of Israeli playwrights and theatre-practitioners. Israeli Stage has produced thirteen plays as staged readings; among them were one World Premiere (commissioned by Harvard University), eight American Premieres and four New England Premieres.

The performances in Ithaca have been organized by the Ithaca Area United Jewish Community www.iaujc.org.  Funding has been made available from a consortium of organizations and individuals:  Temple Beth-El of Ithaca, Stand With Us, Jewish Studies Program at Ithaca College, Cornell Near Eastern and Jewish Studies, Cornell Hillel, First Congregational Church, Tompkins Trust Company, Ithaca Area United Jewish Community, Ithaca College Hillel, Rabbi Paul Levenson, Area Congregations Together, Congregation Tikkun v’Or, Nina Miller, Advanced Dental Technology of Ithaca II, Risley Theater.
