The Office of Human Resources is challenging all faculty and staff to become more HEART Healthy this February by participating in a variety of HEART Healthy events and if you love our Work/Life Lunch-and-Learns... you'll love this one!

Open Your HEART to Learning Challenge:
All you have to do is attend all three Lunch-and-Learns offered during the month of February for a chance in our prize drawing! It’s a great way to educate yourself about various aspects of heart health, such as ways to prevent heart disease, cooking heart-healthy foods, and what the symptoms of heart disease are. Mark your calendars with the following dates and times for our February HEART Healthy Lunch-and-Learns:

Questions? Email Allie at allie.ic.hr@gmail.com and check out our FEBRUARY IS HEART MONTH website at http://www.ithaca.edu/hr/benefits/wrklife/go_red

**Please consider participating in our other challenges this month as well**

  • I HEART Red Photo Contest: Wear red every Friday in February, take a picture of yourself or your friends wearing red (be creative) and submit it! If you wear red every Friday in support of heart month, your name will be submitted into a prize drawing. All "Wear Red" photos are to be submitted to allie.ic.hr@gmail.com by February 28th.

  • Map Your HEART and Family History: Knowing your family's health history can help you avoid both heart disease and stoke. Start with your immediate family - find out if your brothers, sisters, parents or grandparents had heart disease, stokes, heart attacks, or any other major health issue. Be sure to ask how old they were when the developed these issues. Click here to print the Map Your HEART & Family History form.

SUPERVISORS: PLEASE POST

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Katie Sack at ksack@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-1208. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
