Contributed by Catherine Taylor on 03/25/2014
Poet Will Alexander will give a reading in honor of his winning a 2013 American Book Award for his collection of essays, Singing in Magnetic Hoofbeat, published by Essay Press, of which Writing Department faculty member Catherine Taylor is a Founding Editor.
About Alexander's work, poet Harryette Mullen writes, "His literary influences connect him to an international avant-garde, just as his experience as an African American connects him to a black diaspora, and to the political struggles of Third World people."
