There are so many things to do as the semester ends, don’t forget about your mail! We offer the following suggestions to help provide continuity in your mail-related services.
Begin notifying the publishers of magazines and newspapers you receive where you will be in May. Their toll free numbers and web sites are usually listed in the front or back of the publication. This mail class is not forwarded by the USPS from our College. The USPS notifies the publishers of the permanent address we provide on the publication and then discards the mail piece.
We will sort mail into mail boxes until May 16th. All packages will be collected at the Phillips Hall Post Office.
Mail must be picked up from the residence hall mail rooms (except Circle Apts.) by 8:30 a.m., Monday May 19th. After that time, all mail will be moved to the Mail Center located in the General Services Building.
Packages that have not been picked up from the Phillips Hall Post Office by 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 24th will also be moved to the Mail Center. This will not apply to students staying and working on campus for the summer that have filled out the “hold mail” card or Circle Apartment residents that have not “checked out” from their apartments.
The Mail Center, located in the General Services/Public Safety Building, can ship your boxes home by UPS or FedEx Ground. We do not supply boxes. We do have a small supply of reused boxes available on a first come-first serve basis. You can pay your shipping charges with credit card, cash or a check made payable to “Ithaca College”. Shipping hours are Monday – Friday 8:30AM – 3:15PM.
The Phillips Hall Post Office is open from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
