The Hangar Theatre 2014 season opens Friday, June 13 with the award winning play,Red. Red zeroes in on the real-life aesthetic and personal crises encountered by acclaimed artist Mark Rothko when he accepts a commission to paint giant murals for the Four Seasons Restaurant in Manhattan. The 2014 season is the first for new Hangar artistic director, Ithaca College alumna Jen Waldman. Additional IC alumni and faculty are featured in the three subsequent productions. Subscribers see all four productions for a discount nearly equal to the cost of single tickets for only three productions.
