The ability to reserve a meeting room or other "resources" in Outlook Calendar is not working.
The settings that assign individual's permissions to reserve a room have apparently been deleted. We are actively working with Microsoft to restore all room resource permissions, but we do not yet have an estimate as to when this will occur.
In the meantime, users who normally had permission to book meeting rooms may experience atypical behavior when trying to reserve a room. This behavior will vary depending on each room’s settings, but we have had reports of users receiving an email immediately declining any new reservations or an email signaling that the reservation is pending approval.
At this time, this issue appears to be only affecting reservations created after 7/7/14. It does not appear that any previously booked reservations have been affected. If you need assistance booking a room resource, you can contact the room resource owner, who can manually book a room for you by working from within the calendar view for that resource.
