Cathrene Connery, Education, and Belle Sherman Teachers Present at TESOL MeetingContributed by Jeane Copenhaver-Johnson on 05/02/2012 Cathrene Connery, Assistant Professor of Education, and three teachers from Belle Sherman Elementary School (Kip Wilcox, Nancy Thompson, and Kathy Sholtys) presented joint research on best practices in the education of English Language Learners at the recent TESOL International Conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They focused on the use of VoiceThread technologies to facilitate students' language and literacy development in English and have engaged in teacher inquiry collaborations for three years. Their work was supported, in part, by a Clynes Collaboration Grant. |
