As we head into the winter months, it's important to take precautions against icy conditions. When temperatures drop below freezing, walking from parking lots and building to building can be a dangerous game.
Slips and falls are the number one cause of accidents at Ithaca College. Nationally, they cause more than 1,500 deaths and 300,000 injuries per year -- but there are many ways to prevent such accidents. Here is a list of ways to protect yourself:

If you are injured on campus, please contact Ithaca College Office of Public Safety at 607-274–3333 from a cell phone or 911 from a campus phone. Employees of Ithaca College are required to file an accident report soon after the event of any injury.
