Philanthropy Day Ice Cream Social

Contributed by Lynne Pierce on 02/25/2013

Please join Ithaca College’s Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow (STAT) as we host a FREE ice cream social to help celebrate the first “Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day” on February 28, 2013.

Sponsored by the Council for the Advancement of Secondary Education Affiliated Student Advancement Programs (CASE ASAP) and with more than 85 colleges and universities participating, events include activities to thank donors, encourage school spirit and pride, and educate students about the importance of alumni participation to their alma mater.

STAT is working with the Office of Alumni Relations, the Ithaca College Annual Fund, and the Office of Donor Relations to host an ice cream social where students can learn about the importance of philanthropy and write thank-you cards to our first time donors.

There will be “celebrity scoopers” including President Tom Rochon and SGA president Rob Flaherty, performances by Ithacappella and VoiceStream, a raffle drawing for a great prize for anyone who writes a thank you note, and of course – FREE ICE CREAM SUNDAES!

The event will be held in Emerson Suites A from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 28, 2013.  Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact the Office of Alumni Relations at alumni@ithaca.edu.   We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible
