Our Go Red for Women, Heart Healthy campaign helped to raise awareness about the #1 killer of women, heart disease and it was a great success! On the first Friday of the month we gave out MORE THAN 600 GO RED FOR WOMEN PINS to anyone wearing red on campus. It was great way to spread awareness and support for heart health! We received 15 awesome Wear Red Friday photos, 11 delicious heart healthy eligible recipes, 10 beautifully decorated red dress cut outs and we are now pleased to announce our winners:

WEAR RED FRIDAYS CHALLENGE: Nancy Kotmel

HEART HEALTHY RECIPE CHALLENGE: Margie Foster

RED DRESS CUT OUT CHALLENGE: Kelly Rafferty

Congratulations to our winners who will each receive a great American Heart Association Hardcover Recipe Book!!

Remember, although February has come to an end, it doesn't mean you should stop with your heart healthy goals! Stay strong and GO RED all year long! You can GO RED all year long by trying the recipes in our Heart Healthy Recipe Cookbook, coming next week to our website! For a sneak peek, check out our Mind, Body, Me Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/MindBodyMeIthacaCollege! Other ways to stay heart healthy are to exercise every day, keep your diet in check, and be alert to any warning signs or symptoms.

Thank you to everyone who participated! It was a great campaign and we hope to see everyone participate next February in our Go Red for Women Heart Healthy Challenges to support American Heart Month!
