Join us on Tuesday, April 2, from 12:05-1 p.m. in BUS 104, for a lively discussion with alumnus Chris Palmieri on “The Health Care Business: Industry Changes and Career Opportunities.”
Chris is President of VNSNY CHOICE Health Plans, affiliated with the Visiting Nurse Service of New York (VNSNY). The Visiting Nurse Service of New York is the largest not-for-profit home health care organization in the United States, providing acute, rehabilitative, end-of-life, mental health, long-term care services and managed care plans to residents in the metropolitan New York area.
Mr. Palmieri joined the organization in 2005 and has served as President since 2009. In his seven years at VNSNY, Palmieri increased population served from 8,000 in 2005, to more than 40,000 in 2012. Under his leadership, VNSNY CHOICE Health Plans have grown from one initial offering to six different plans within an impressive provider network that includes 37 hospitals, 32 nursing facilities, and more than 8,000 physicians, including 400 who make home visits ensuring that every member has access to care.
Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Paul Deamer at firstname.lastname@example.org or (607) 274-1279. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
