Starting today, Ithaca College has subscribed for a free trial of COS PIVOT which will expire on May 14, 2013. Upon using this trial period subscription, it would be helpful to let the Sponsored Research Office know if it would be something you would want to continue using. You can email email@example.com with your comments. If so, once the trial period has ended, we will purchase a regular subscription.
You can access Pivot through the Ithaca College Sponsored Research site (click the link).
From any on-campus computer, a user can go right to PIVOT because Ithaca College’s IP addresses will be recognized by COS Pivot. You can start searching for funding or faculty profiles right away.
Users can also log in on the PIVOT link on our Sponsored Research page with a COS Pivot username and password anytime, anywhere. Logging in this way will take you to your COS Pivot homepage. From the homepage, you can manage active or tracked funding opportunities, saved searches, shared opps, etc., and start searching for funding or scholars. Username and password access is necessary when a) a user is off-campus, or b) when a user needs to save a funding record or funding search.
Creating a COS Pivot account is easy – you can click the Log In” option in the upper right of the screen. Clicking on “Login help” will present you with a screen where you can choose to create your account. You will gain access to COS Pivot by indicating that you are a member of Ithaca College. You will receive an email with a validation link to confirm your registration to COS Pivot. Once you click on the validation link, then access will be granted.
