The right person for this position would have excellent writing and editing skills; the ability to prioritize projects, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines; excellent attention to detail; strong organizational, interpersonal, and verbal communication; knowledge of various word processing, spreadsheet, database, and electronic filing applications; familiarity with Google Documents and other Internet-based applications a must. A background in journalism, writing, or English is preferred. Reporting, blogging, video, and Web-related editorial experience is a plus. A writing and editing test will be given to finalists.
This job description is for two different writer/editors in the Office of Marketing Communications. One is for the Office of Marketing Communications and the other is for the Media Relations team.
