ENVS Assistant Professor Paula Turkon , who holds a PhD in Anthropology from Arizona State University and has done extensive field research in Mexico and the American Southwest, will be presenting a lecture and teaching demonstration on Thursday 27 February from 12:10 to 1:00 pm in CNS 112. Her teaching/research interests lie with ethnobotany and prehistoric human-environment relationships described through food and agriculture. She has used tree-ring analysis to examine the relationship between climate change and the collapse of a major archaeological site in Mesoamerica.
