However, your performance level can often be tied to whether you enjoy the work that you do every day or you just work the job to earn a paycheck.
Being happy in your career improves quality of life and happiness overall, so follow these tips to finding career happiness and loving what you do:
- Exercise – besides being good for your mind and body, regular exercise can also increase job satisfaction. Whether it’s a daily walk during lunch, early-morning gym session, or afternoon yoga class, doing a physical activity that you enjoy will improve overall happiness at home and at work.
- Get enough sleep – for most people, this is 7-8 hours per night. The amount of sleep you get influences your attitude at work, and being well-rested will make for a happier and more productive workday.
- Find a balance – don’t bring work home regularly, and don’t stress about it when you’re not there
