Submitted on behalf of David Dray, Deputy Chief for Public Safety and Emergency Management

As the academic year begins, the Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone back.  We would also like to remind everyone “If you like it, lock it”, which refers to your personal property and valuables.

You will recall that during Student Orientation Public Safety addressed the need to secure your valuable items and the precautions you should take to ensure your safety.  Click on this link www.ithaca.edu/sacl/safety/docs/Lockupyourstuff to learn more about some crime prevention tips from the Ithaca College Safety Awareness Committee.  Please take the time to review these safety tips so that your school year may be full of fun learning experiences and diminish the possibility of someone taking your valuable items.

Thanks, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to call.
