Too bad faculty and staff were not consulted in formulating the road names or
choosing the design for the signs. "Conservatory Lane" is a particularly unhappy
choice. Also, the signs for "Tower View" and "Conservatory Lane" at the Y in the
road leading up to lot T and the Towers are reversed.

It was certainly nice of "the college" to consult with representatives of "the town
of Ithaca" in naming our streets. In this age of brand sensitivity, it would have
been a better idea to consult faculty. A school of music is not the same as a
conservatory of music. Accurately portraying today's Ithaca College is more
important than acknowledging our "rich" history. Thankfully, Astrology Circle
was not chosen for a road near the Natural Science building.
