In a February '09 campus-wide survey, two thirds of IC students reported having been in the presence of a student whose intoxication level concerned them. Only 9% of students reported calling for medical assistance in such situations. Do you know the signs of alcohol poisoning?

Look for one or more of the following: 

Inability to be roused with loud shouting or vigorous shaking.

Mental confusion.

Low body temperature.

Weak, slow, or very rapid pulse.

Pale or bluish skin.

Slow or irregular breathing.

Excessive vomiting.

The International Club (ICIC) in collaboration with the Office of International Programs will hold the annual International Photo Exhibition on October 26th and 27th. The display will up for viewing and voting from 10:00am to 3:00pm in the North Foyer.

So, come and share your photos with the community and win prizes- 1st place ($100), 2nd place ($50) and 3rd place ($25).

There are two main categories of the contest: People and Places, as well as an additional special category Water.

Entries must be submitted to the Office of International Programs in CHS 214-2 by 5:00pm on Wednesday, October 20th.

Breast Cancer Walk Tomorrow!

Don’t miss out!  The Exercise Science Club is holding their 3rd annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk at 1pm on Saturday, October 9th, at Butterfield Stadium.


Join us for raffles- gift cards to places like the Ale House, Diamond Cuisine, Le Nails and much more! Food has been donated from Ithaca Bakery, Sodexo and Starbucks… Physical therapy students will also be giving FREE massages to help support our walkers.


Bring your friends, bring your family, and come support our efforts to give to the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes.  We look forward to seeing you there!


MCAT -- don't miss out!

MCAT registration is now open for the January through May 2011 exams. 

If you are planning on taking the MCAT, you should sign up early for the date and location you want, as they can fill up.

Consider joining a local contingent at IC to participate in the NMC 2010 Virtual Symposium of the Future on October 19-21 in the Center for Educational Technology.  The Symposium, held online, looks toward the future: What might the world look like in five years or ten? Technologies and practices that are just beginning to show promise in an educational or social context may well be commonplace in that time frame.  ITS has purchased one paid registration to log into this event from the CET. There is no charge to participants and is open to faculty, staff, and students.
