Submitted for Rory Rothman, Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Campus Life.

In the next couple of days, all faculty and staff will receive a brochure entitled "Eliminate Bias-Create a Community of Respect."  All on-campus students will also receive this publication at the opening of the fall semester.  The College has published this brochure over the past few years to educate all community members about how to prevent incidents of bias and hate on campus, and what steps should be taken to report such an incident if it were to occur.  Please review this information carefully.  We need everyone's help in keeping the Ithaca College community a safe, accepting, and positive place to live, work, and study.

Associate Professor Richard Faria was selected to premiere the winning work of the International Clarinet Associations’ annual Composition Competition at their annual conference, ClarinetFest®, held in Austin, Texas, July 21-25, 2010. The work is by composer Kevin Gray and is called “Pyrrhic Suite”. The panel of judges chose Gray's work from among 33 entries, from 13 countries.

Submitted on behalf of Rory Rothman, Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Campus Life.

Now that the academic year has begun, we are in the process of convening a number of our Student Affairs and Campus Life Committees which are dedicated to addressing some very specific needs of the Ithaca College community.  In order to better address these needs by working through a representative body of the community, we are once again attempting to gain faculty, staff, and student participation on each of these groups.  The committees for which we are seeking membership are:  Diversity Awareness and Safety Awareness. A brief description of each committee and a participation form can be found at:
