It hurts your children, your spouse, your friends, your pets. Everyone is susceptible to second hand smoke and its dangerous health effects.

Use the chart found here to map your family’s health history.  Start with your immediate family – find out if your brothers, sisters, parents, or grandparents have had heart disease, strokes, heart attacks, or any other major health problems. For those of you who participated in a Health Care or Dependent Care FSA for 2013 this is a reminder that FSA dollars are "use-it-or-lose-it" funds. Account balances are not carried over from year to year. If you had any unused funds at the end of the plan year, those funds will be forfeited. That's an IRS requirement.

You have until March 31, 2014 to submit your 2013 FSA claims. Please note, this is not a postmarked date it is truly a received date. Claims received on April 1, 2014 or later will be denied and will not be processed. 


Valentine’s Day isn’t the only heart-related part of February! It’s also American Heart Month and a time to raise awareness and knowledge about heart health. We all know that our heart is important, but do you know how to make sure that you’re monitoring your heart health and taking steps to make your heart as strong as possible?
