There will be 3 sets of concurrent education seminars available for you to choose from depending on what interests you and where you are at in the retirement planning process. All educational affairs faculty and staff are invited to hear from Elizabeth Bleicher, Director of the Exploratory Program and Christina Moylan, Coordinator of the HSHP Preprofessional Program about ways we can all work to assist our undecided students in working toward a major and career plan.

Join us Wednesday, April 5, 12:10 – 1:00 pm, in Clark Lounge.

Please feel free to bring your lunch as this is a brown bag event. Cheese, fruit and beverages will be provided.

Building Palliative Care in Upstate New York: Practice, Policy, and Innovation

Palliative care means enhanced healthcare for people with serious illness, at any stage and any age. Palliative care is taking root here in rural upstate New York and it looks different than in urban areas. This conference explores how we do palliative care and where we are headed - in practice, policy, and innovation.

Non-exempt employees will be paid time and a half based on a 37.5 hour work week.  Exempt staff may, at the discretion of their supervisor, be given flexible time.

As with last year, employees will have an opportunity to provide feedback on supervisor performance as it relates to the competencies Ithaca College expects of supervisors in their leadership roles. This feedback is meant to provide a mechanism for supervisors to receive constructive feedback from their employees, to assist in identifying areas for growth and development, and to identify and acknowledge exceptional supervisors for mentoring of individuals new to supervising.

The Educational Affairs Staff Development Committee will be hosting a "Spring Fling" Breakfast for all staff on Wednesday, March 15th from 8:30-10:30am in Klingenstein Lounge. Come eat breakfast, enjoy a cup coffee, and spend some time with your coworkers! You can even make a little seed planter to take home in celebration of spring being around the corner!

The First-Year Residential Experience (FYRE) is an educational community experience for first-year students with goals of easing student transitions, supporting academic success, and furthering student learning.
