 Don't miss the April 1 deadline to register to help out with Commencement Weekend activities taking place Friday, May 19 - Sunday, May 21, 2017.

Non-exempt employees will be paid time and a half based on a 37.5 hour work week.  Exempt staff may, at the discretion of their supervisor, be given flexible time.

As with last year, employees will have an opportunity to provide feedback on supervisor performance as it relates to the competencies Ithaca College expects of supervisors in their leadership roles. This feedback is meant to provide a mechanism for supervisors to receive constructive feedback from their employees, to assist in identifying areas for growth and development, and to identify and acknowledge exceptional supervisors for mentoring of individuals new to supervising.

The Educational Affairs Staff Development Committee will be hosting a "Spring Fling" Breakfast for all staff on Wednesday, March 15th from 8:30-10:30am in Klingenstein Lounge. Come eat breakfast, enjoy a cup coffee, and spend some time with your coworkers! You can even make a little seed planter to take home in celebration of spring being around the corner!

The First-Year Residential Experience (FYRE) is an educational community experience for first-year students with goals of easing student transitions, supporting academic success, and furthering student learning.

Our next meeting is Thursday, March 23 from 2:00-3:30pm in Gannett 319.

On Friday, May 19, Saturday, May 20, and Sunday, May 21, 2017, Ithaca College will hold its 122nd Commencement Weekend activities. To ensure a smooth Commencement Ceremony and a positive experience for our graduates and their families and friends, we need your assistance.  There are many important roles to fill Commencement Weekend, which are described below.

Non-exempt/hourly employees who assist in this event will be paid time and a half based on a 37.5 hr. work week.  Exempt staff are encouraged to participate as well and may, at the discretion of their supervisor, be granted a flexible schedule in recognition of their participation in this important weekend.

Staff Council's next monthly meeting will be Thursday, February 23 from 2-3:30pm in the Taughannock Falls Meeting Room.

Please feel free to join us if you can!    

If you are not a member of staff council, but would like to present at one of our monthly meetings please contact us!

The Office of International Programs and Extended Studies (OIPES) would like to invite all staff and faculty interested in taking students abroad to attend our upcoming workshop about  the development and planning of faculty/staff-led short-term study abroad programs.  The workshop will be held on Friday, February 17, from 3:00-4:30 pm, in the Taughannock Falls Room, Campus Center.  Participants are invited to stay for a wine and cheese reception with the workshop facilitator and International Programs staff from 4:30-5:00.
